Rugs To Riches

Play. Rug. Profit. The only Telegram game where you can go from slow to capitalist god.
Project Overview
Tiny Taps and Half Past Yellow brought me on board to design the UI for their mobile game Rugs to Riches. The gameplay takes inspiration from idle clicker titles like AdVenture Capitalist, but with a unique twist aimed at satirizing the volatile and flashy world of cryptocurrency.
My role:
To support this vision, they wanted the interface to capture a deliberately tacky, high-energy aesthetic. Something that would feel at home in a neon-soaked, fast-paced, crypto-fueled version of Miami. I leaned into the visual language of over-the-top opulence, blending garish colors, glowing elements, and quick transitions to reflect the game's themes of hype, greed, and digital excess.

Design Process

I started by establishing a clear art direction, building on the overall flow already provided by the Half Past Yellow team. From there, I conducted focused UX explorations to refine interactions and transitions, and went on to design the UI for all in-game screens, ensuring visual consistency and a cohesive user experience throughout. To support future development, I also delivered a flexible design system with reusable UI components. The icons, logo, and illustrations were created by the team at Half Past Yellow.
